Estimator

One of the Triad’s leading GC’s, has an opening for an experienced Estimator responsible for estimating a wide range of commercial projects, primarily in the hard bid/public market. A 4-year degree is preferable with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating and 10+ years in the construction industry. Must be detail oriented and customer service focused with solid understanding of construction bidding process. We offer an excellent salary package and benefits.

Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and able to meet strict timelines. Knowledge of Timberline or Sage products preferred and must have a solid understanding of the construction bidding process.

Responsibilities:

Bidding projects on a weekly basis

On screen takeoffs for projects

Putting together complete project estimates

Solicit subcontractor bids for projects

Requirements/Skills:

Experience in hard bid estimating

Good time management skills

Team player willing to work with others

Familiarity with construction processes

Ability to read and understand drawings and specs

Good knowledge of computers and estimating software’s

Experience with civil/dirt takeoff using Earthworks

Pay is Negotiable
